About Julie

As a psychodynamic therapist practicing in the field for over a decade, I have had a wide range of training and working experiences that allow me to meet each of my clients’ unique needs. I am passionate about supporting individuals in finding a deeper connection to themselves and within their relationships, and specialize in relational anxiety and trauma. I’ve worked with a diverse range of clients from various cultural backgrounds and identities, in particular young adults, women, first generation folks, students, adolescents, and medical professionals. One of my core values is to provide identity-affirming therapy, and hold space for people of all identities, genders, and sexualities. I am deeply dedicated to helping my clients improve their quality of life, both through a greater understanding of themselves and the tools to create change.

Education and Training

I graduated from Columbia University with a Masters of Science in Social Work, and from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in Psychology and minor in Art. I received a post-graduate certificate in Interpersonal Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from the William Alanson White Institute, and have additional training in IFS, EFT, DBT, and CBT. Prior to starting my private practice I worked in multiple mental health treatment settings at Mount Sinai Hospital. I’ve been a supervisor of social work students, licensed psychotherapists, and psychiatry residents. At Mount Sinai’s psychiatric outpatient clinic, I worked both as a clinical coordinator and therapist providing mental health treatment to frontline healthcare workers during the Covid-19 pandemic. I have substantial experience treating stress and trauma related syndromes. I also helped to establish and launch the Mount Sinai Partial Hospital Program, providing intensive therapy to those in acute mental health crisis. I am currently a member of the Women’s Mental Health Consortium and the National Association of Social Workers.
